TIMES

Main gate: Closed from from 11,00 p.m. to 7 a.m. Partial Reception (when office is closed): open from 12,30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7,30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Reception: High season open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Low season open from 9 a.m. to 12,30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7,30 p.m. Cashier for payments: open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

SHOPS AND SERVICES

The following shops and services are located at Camping Village Montescudaio: Bar, minimarket, restaurant-rotisserie, cafeteria and take out. Fruit and vegetable stand, cigarette and newspaper stand, gift and clothing shop, laundry, Pizzeria with music in the evenings. Gas bottles may be bought at the minimarket. Laundry service and freezers are located at wash block 2. Also at wash block 2 you will find iron and fridge hire. In low season some shops and services may be closed or have reduced hours of operation. The car wash is located at the top of the camp site near the water tanks. The mail box is located at the bar.

ELECTRICITY

 Each pitch has 1100 watt (220V, 50 Hz) of electricity available. Light bulbs and fridges may be used but NOT electric appliances such as hair dryers, irons, electric grills, coffee makers etc..

DOCTOR

Doctor service on site varies depending on period of season. Please see the timetable at the surgery located near the minimarket or ask in reception.

PHONES AND MESSAGES

5 public phones are located the bar, and 1 near reception. Phone cards can be bought at the bar and at reception. Calls can only be made from the public phones and not from reception. Telephone messages or notices for mail or faxes are placed in the "message" board located at the bar.

GAMES

 There are 2 ping pong tables, 1 volley ball/basket ball court, 1 mini basket ball court, 1 mini football court, 1 playground, 1 video games room. In order to make sure that everyone has a fair chance at these facilities, a nominal charge is made for their use. Please inquire at the bar.

SPORTS

 To help keep you fit, we have set up a "Vita-Parcours", planned for us by a team of doctors and physical training instructors. The course can be done by walking or jogging. It is 1,5 km long and has 15 exercise points. It starts behind the children's wading pool. There is 1 tennis court on site. You can book in reception one day in advance. There is a fee for using the court. Refunds given only in case of rain.

PARKING

 The main gate is closed from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 11:00 p.m. to 7 there is a 20 km stretch of public beach. You can park your car outside the pine wood forest and walk the 300 Mt. to the beach.

BEACH

 There are a number of beach resorts near Cecina Mare, where beach umbrellas and deck chairs can be rented. At the south end of Cecina Mare there is a 20 km stretch of public beach. You can park your car outside the pine wood forest and walk for 300 mt. to the beach.

GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT

 In high season, various games and forms of entertainment are planned. Programs are posted near the bar. Since 1998 there is also a botanical garden at the entrance of commercial center. It has 54 different species of mediterranean forest. This is one of the most exclusive of its type in Tuscany.

DAY TRIPS

Numerous day trips to Rome, Elba and Tuscan cities leave from the camp site. Please inquire at reception.

 There are about 10 banks located in the center of Cecina. Hours: 8,20 a.m. to 1,20 p.m. and 2,30 p.m. to 3,30 p.m. (Mon. to Fri.). Some banks, on a rotation basis, are open Saturday morning. The central post office in Cecina is located in Via Susa. Hours: 8,30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Mon. to Fri.). Saturday till 12 p.m.

 Large supermarkets (COOP and Conad) open all day 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
